China enters waste business in Ukraine while Poroshenko prepares program for waste processing enterprises

During the Regional Development Council in Zakarpattia region, President Petro Poroshenko instructed to prepare a special program on waste processing enterprises and "green energy" of the region. The Head of State stressed that we should change the country by the joint efforts of all Ukrainians, each at their own level. "We must plan and develop a special program for Zakarpattia on the priority proposals for waste processing enterprises and energy.

A unit of China Energy Engineering Corp Ltd has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to build а 1,000-tonne-per-day (TPD) waste-to-energy plant for Cindrigo Inc in Ukraine. The Chinese state-owned energy company will build a waste incineration power plant with an installed capacity totalling 20 MW in Kiev, it said Wednesday.
