EU Financing for Cross-Border Power Lines in Slovenia and Bulgaria

EUR 48.2 million under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) were recently approved in order to help the Slovenian transmission system operator ELES to construct power lines between Slovenia and Hungary.

Furthermore, an extra EUR 28.6 million were granted to the Bulgarian TSO ESO for the construction of the Bulgaria-Greece power line. These new power lines will help Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and neighboring countries to access energy markets in Eastern Europe. To read more, click here.
