Almost 200,000 people have access to renewable energy in the Republic of Moldova thanks to EU project

The EU-supported Energy and Biomass Project is coming to an end after seven years of work in the Republic of Moldova.

Thanks to the project, around 199,000 people in Moldova have benefited from access to affordable and renewable energy produced in the country. Some 265 schools, kindergartens, public buildings and hospitals have switched from coal and gas to biomass energy for their heating needs, while 70 of these institutions now have hot water produced by solar energy.
