First Energy Storage Facility for Wind Energy in Romania

The first ever battery-based storage facility for wind energy was recently opened at the Cobadin wind farm in Romania.

EDP Renewables (EDPR), one of the largest wind energy producers in the world, opened this facility, which will help facilitate the further integration of renewable energy sources into the electricity market. The company currently has a total installed capacity of 521 MW in Romania.
