Built-in capacity of household size power plants is on the rise in Hungary

In the recent years the number of household plants and their built in capacity continued to increase, it represented 99.4 % of the total built in capacity, according to the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (HEPURA).

Especially last year, in which 29,685 power plants were connected to the power grid, which is equivalent to a 45% increase. The rapid emergence of solar household size power plants was facilitated by the falling costs of solar panels and the accessible project subsidies through tenders. Aside from this, the not household size small power plants under the capacity of 0.5 MW also experienced an increase.
