EBRD Loan for 30 Electric Buses in Bulgaria

Last week, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced that it had approved a loan for a project to supply 30 electric buses for Sofia, Bulgaria.

EBRD's loan would be up to EUR 14.7 million and would be provided to the Sofia Electrical Transport Company, the public transport company of Sofia, Bulgaria. This would allow the company to not only purchase 30 electric buses, but also allow them to purchase 12 charging stations as well as the related services and parts. It is expected that the new bus fleet will replace EUR III diesel buses and thus reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 54%. Read more here.
