Turkey designs a new Renewables Support Scheme with the EBRD

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) recently announced that it will be helping the Republic of Turkey in designing a renewable energy support system for the time period after 2020.

Turkey  currently has feed-in-tariffs for renewable energy power plants under the Renewable Energy Support Scheme (YEKDEM). The idea for the support mechanism would be to offer a minimum guarantee for renewables, which would help renewables grow, while still offering a minimum support.
