Turkey: October 23 Deadline for World’s Largest Offshore Wind Farm

As part of Turkey’s Renewable Energy Resource Zone (YEKA) project, Turkey is planning to open tenders for 10 GW of wind and 10 GW of solar capacity in the next 10 years. Keeping with this timeline, Turkey recently set the deadline for bidding for the country’s first offshore wind farm. The envisaged 1.2 GW offshore wind farm project has set requirements of minimum criteria (60% of equipment must stem from Turkey and at least 80% of engineers have to be Turkey nationals).
