RECAI, established in 2003, ranks 40 countries according to their attractiveness with respect to renewable energy

The index is based on a number of macro, energy market and technology-specific parameters.

The RECAI denotes the Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index. The index combines macro drivers, energy market drivers and technology specific drivers to calculate a ranking of countries according to the drivers. In the September 2015 issue 4o countries are listed in the ranking, among which 3 CEE-countries. Turkey ranks 15 from 17 in the previous ranking, Poland has rank 26, unchanged, and Romania is ranked 34, also unchanged.
