Update: Energy Country Profile Hungary!

The Energy Country Profile of Hungary has been extensively updated! Each and every section was revised and brand new information was added. Hungary’s update is of particular interest since they are currently holding the EU presindency, as well as in regard to the major changes in their administration following the elections in April 2010. New ministries were established with the different responsibility sectors being newly divided.

Furthermore, you will find thorough information on the newest policy developments, such as the New Energy Strategy. The Ministry of National Economy and the newly established Ministry of National Development – with the involvement of experts – have been elaborating Hungary’s new, long-term national energy strategy until 2030. The document will be made available for public consultation by the Government in the first half of 2011.
