Czech Republic to build new Solar Power Plant

 

CEZ is building a new Solar Power Plant close to Sevetin in the district of Budweis. Its expected output of 30 megawatts is almost three times higher than the output of the largest Czech solar power station so far.

The construction works are supposed to be finished within 12 month, thus the solar power station is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2010. The new solar power plant will cover an area of 60 ha.

The realization of this project is part of the commitment of CEZ to invest CZK 30 Billion in renewable energy sources.
