3rd National Conference: Small Hydropower in Romania - Present and Future, 8th of April 2011, Arad, Romania

Romania is the 38th largest energy consumer in the world and the largest in South Eastern Europe. It has been estimated that there are more than 2000 locations in the Transylvanian Mountains that are suited for the development of small hydro plants. Although small hydropower is not so wide spread in Romania, it is hoped that this will change in the near future.

This conference serves as an information plattform about the actual status, laws, financing possibilities of small hydropower energy in the South Eastern European region. The conference languages are Romanian and English.
