Sustainable Energy for All Forum

The 2018 Sustainable Energy for All Forum will take place in Lisbon, Portugal on May 2nd and 3rd

Over 750 high-level representatives from government, business, civil society and international organizations will gather for the Forum. Last year’s Forum welcomed delegates from more than 100 countries. Under the theme “Leaving No One Behind,” the 2018 Forum takes place at a pivotal juncture for accelerating progress on global sustainable energy goals. It comes just a few months in advance of the UN High-Level Political Forum, which will include a first-ever formal review of progress – or lack of – on SDG7 targets. Climate scientists will be providing a planetary gut-check on efforts to meet Paris Climate Agreement goals later in the year. At stake are significant populations that are missing out on education, health, jobs and broader economic opportunities because they do not have access to affordable, reliable and clean, energy. Closing these energy gaps is our imperative. The Forum’s agenda will focus on the latest data and evidence of what’s working to speed and scale electricity access, access to clean fuels for cooking, energy efficiency across the economy, access to cooling, safe and clean transport and much more.
