Wind Park plans for northern Slovakia

 

The company Wind Energie, s.r.o. has announced its intention to build a wind park in the north of Slovakia, near the town of Tvrdošín.

The estimated cost of the project ranges from €23 million to €30 million, depending on the alternative the company eventually chooses. According to investment plans that have been submitted for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), seven to nine power generating units should be built in the wind park. Total installed capacity should be between 16,000 and 21,000 kilowatts. The start of construction is scheduled for March 2010. It should be completed a year later and the wind park should start generating electricity in May of 2011.
